francois.krikorianParticipantHello,
While trying to set up my delivery rules, I noticed one “flaw” in the mechanics and one possible bug.
The flaw
As of now, there is no way to overlap estimated delivery dates. Basically, if a product falls over 2 categories, you cannot choose which rule takes over. Unlike Discount Rules (you can choose to make a rule overlap another and force this one to apply). The only way to possibly achieve this is by excluding the certain products or subcategories and creating another rule where this subcategory has a different ED. Or so I thought.
Example: My product falls under a category called “Cars”, inside certain products are on a subcategory from A to Z. I want to set ED to all my categories except Y and Z (coz I need a special ED for the Y and Z). So as of now, the only way is either :
1) rule that includes each sub categories manually (A, B, C, D….) taking ages
2) rule that include category “Cars”, exclude subcategory Y and Z, create another ED with subcategory Y and ZMy tests
The second option, which is the fasted, does not work. Excluding categories does not actualy work.
As of now, I have :
- Category “Cars”
- Subcategory “Electric cars”
I tried :
1) a rule having 15 to 20 days delivery for category “Cars”
2) a rule saying 3 to 5 days delivery for subcategory “Electric Cars”
Result: ALL have 15 to 20 days delivery showing up.
Opinion : Category rules go over subcategories rules ?The bug :
1) a rule having 15 to 20 days delivery for category “Cars” while excluding subcategory “electric cars”
2) a rule saying 3 to 5 days delivery for subcategory “Electric Cars”
Result: ALL have 15 to 20 days delivery showing up.
Opinion : Seems like the exclusions do not apply.Another possible bug :
I am pretty sure this has to do with caching (you have the option to force it in the settings). but if i change a date, it actually does not apply. I have to manually deactivate and reactivate the rule for it to apply. Not dramatic but good to know.
Kind regards.

francois.krikorianParticipantAlso, just realised, we can set ATTRIBUTES as conditions. Does that mean that the ED will update if certain attributes are selected? Overruling the general rule ?
