Filter categories

I’m having trouble with the category filter, I can’t figure out how to put it in the shop, I was able to filter by attributes, price, stock, but not with categories… The only way to filter the categories I found is by putting the list of categories and then filter the rest, but that resets the filters every time, is there any way to solve this problem?

Yes, as I said, I used “Product categories,” but that doesn’t filter products, it changes categories, and so if you click a category it removes all the filters

This is exactly my issue with the theme’s functions.

I believe OP meant that the Product Category ‘filter by’ widget doesn’t have a QUERY TYPE option. So whenever you have filters selected in the archive, selecting a different category removes any selected filters as it refreshes the page and it acts as you’ve clicked on a new category page – instead of keeping the filters you had selected in the first place to search in that new category.

The Product categories widget and in general filter functionality come from WooCommerce, so please check how it works on the default theme first, and let me know.
