First gallery image replaced when variant selected

Whe user select one variant the first image of gallery ( Default image of product) is replaced by image of variant.
I need to disable this, the correct way would be to add an image to the list of thumbs or for it to get the corresponding thumb of the image
Another problem, the image is replaced, but the thumb show the Default image of product (I send image).
I realized that even in default Demo https://woodmart.xtemos.com/shop/accessories/smart-watches-wood-edition/ the error exists.

Thank you very much for choosing our theme and for contacting us.
You can disable showing variation images in the Theme Settings > Shop > Variable products. You will find the option “Use images from product variations”
