Fontawesome icons are gone after updating to the latest version

All of the Fontawesome icons are turned into code after upgrading to the latest version of WPBakery.

I would appreciate your help.

Please save the Theme Setting, update files in CSS generator if you used them and clear your cache.

I have done all:

1- Saved the settings
2-Deleted the CSS file and regenerated
3- Emptied cache

Still have the problem.

Please note that where ever I have used fontawesome manually in the posts and pages (not using the builder) it is working. This is only the builder which I have this issue with.

All the icons which you can see are implemented manually (manually I used FA codes).

Please deactivate all the plugins not related to the theme and check the issue, if the problem remains, leave the plugins not activated and provide the site admin access to the private area

Unfortunately disabling would not be a possibility as this is a live website and we can not disable any of the plugins.

I did more investigations though. I noticed that this issue only exist when I use native ICON feature of WPBakery. Even when I use the list with FA icons which is developed by you guys, the icon is there and it is working.

Hence, the problem is definitely with the WPBakery.

I also noticed that there is a new update for this plugin which is not released by you guys yet.

Would it be possible that you share the latest version of this plugin with me so that I can see if it would work?

1. Make the full backup of your site.

2. Deactivate and delete the current version of WP Bakery page builder in Dashboard > PLugin.

3. Upload the new version from your portfolio on this forum.

4. Upload and install and activate.

Done that. Still no luck!

I contacted the developer of WPBakery and they replied me this :

The issue is because the older visual composer (now WPBakery Page Builder) was modified by the theme author by customizing the existing elements and adding the new one’s. Now when you updated it, the customization made by the theme author was lost which causes the issue. You can check it with the theme author if there is any way to preserve the customization done by him with the latest version, so that such an issue can be avoided at your end.
