mudesportsParticipantHi there,
I’ve just updated the Theme but after doing it, I’ve realized that fonts are not (look) the same. They look thinner and lighter then before updating. I’ve been able to get back to a last backup but now I’m worried how I can have the fonts not changed whenever I should upgrade the Theme.
I’ve been checking on Elementor and on Woodmart Theme Options (Typography) but I cannot manage to get the same fonts/style even I copy the same parameters.
Does the Theme fonts style work as well with CSS? I cannot find any CSS code as I didn’t build the website but these are not on the mother Theme, neither on the CSS Child Theme.
I attach some screenshots for your reference.

Bogdan DonovanKeymasterHi,
In the recent updates, we didn’t make any global changes related to the font-weight or fonts in general. We also didn’t face similar issues in our dev environment. To find the cause of the issue we need to have access to your site.
Please, try to make a “staging” version of your site with 6.3 update installed where this issue is visible and provide admin access to it.
Kind Regards

Bogdan DonovanKeymasterHi,
Your live site has text font-weight 100 (https://prnt.sc/XCdilxvhu4Dc).
Your staging site has text font-weight 600 (https://prnt.sc/wC0RKxnsWHZs).It seems that the custom font that you have chosen is not supporting 600 font-weight. Try to change your Text font to the values that are set on your live site (https://prnt.sc/sdc-lT3Z3Je9).
Kind Regards

mudesportsParticipantHi Bogdan,
Thanks for the answer.
I’ve just replicated the same fonts and sizes from the Live Site to the Staging but it’s clearly not the same.
But once changed, the staging site looks smaller and lighter.
On the LIVE site there are many data that is BOLD while the staging not.
Not being able to replicate the same font style makes the updating of the theme not possible.Let me know please. Thanks & regards,

Bogdan DonovanKeymasterHi,
We have compared both of your sites and found that the custom font “TEX Gyre Adventure” that you used is not working on your live site (with Woodmart 6.1), and it is starting to work on a new staging site (with Woodmart 6.3).
The real font that you currently see on your live site is “Arial” because it is the standard backup font in case the main font is not working. We have set “Arial” as title and text fonts on your dev site (https://prnt.sc/QaBdigkXC4lV) and you can see that title, price, and size guide buttons have the same letters style:
Live site: https://prnt.sc/68eeRqq-Ul4n – “TEX Gyre Adventure” – is not working. Real font – “Arial”.
Dev site: https://prnt.sc/rs9rUJMSFTzM – “Arial” – is set as the default font in theme settings. So, in this case, to save the old design you need to update your live site to 6.3 and change your font from “TEX Gyre Adventure” to “Arial”.
Kind Regards

mudesportsParticipantHi Bogdan,
Thanks! In fact it makes a lot of sense! And bearing in mind that the website also has Vietnamese language that use many characters it will definitely be better work with Arial font.
What about the Home Page? I see its affected by the Arial change font on the Dev Site. Is the Home Page affected by the font choice as well or could be customized independently using Elementor?

Bogdan DonovanKeymasterHi,
Font-weight in Elementor titles:
Some of your titles on the dev site have custom font-weight options (https://prnt.sc/9gk5pGBhdqDr) which are not present on the live site. Try to reset it to the default values.Font-weight in revolution slider:
Our theme typography settings do not affect Revolution Slider elements. If you face issues related to the slider content it may be caused by plugin update or change in the google fonts library. In that case, we recommend changing the font-weight settings (https://prnt.sc/XUvU150T7F-U) of the slider title and button to make them look the same as on your live site.Product title font-size:
In the recent updates, we have changed the behavior of the “Text font-size” value (https://prnt.sc/H4bOgdkosXdw). From now it affects most of the site text elements (including product titles). To make your product titles look as was on the live site we recommend you to change the following value from 12px to 14px.Kind Regards
