“Footer background” loaded by external stylesheet => can’t be lazyloaded

Dear,

On my website in private, I use the “Theme Settings > Footer background” to define the background image of my website. However, this setting causes a compatibility issue with WP Rocket.

WP Rocket’s support team says that the image added there is loaded by an external sheet, which therefore prevents the image from being lazyloaded.

Why is this loaded by external stylesheet? Why can’t this image be lazyloaded?

Hello,

The Theme settings generate one CSS file in order to optimize the code. Thus we cannot change this function for one option.

You can copy and move footer.php to the child theme and insert the background as per Rocket requirements.
