Footer not displaying after importing demo content

I have installed the theme as per the documentation and the footer is not displaying correctly on my desktop.
Could you please let me know what I have done wrong?

You need either to set the Dark color or to set the Dark background in the Theme Settings > Footer. Now you have the white text on the white background. https://prnt.sc/vzbm27

How am I able to apply the dark grey smoky background, and insert the payment logos that appear on the motorcycle demo?

You would better create an image and set on a background, you will find Text next to the copyrights field to insert the image for the payments.
