julian.fernandezParticipantHi there,
I’m setting up a new development environment to troubleshoot the issue where “loading HTML dropdowns returns wrong data – Can’t load HTML blocks with AJAX.” This happens even though, as far as I can tell, there are no active HTML blocks on any menu.
However, I ran into a new issue immediately after the fresh install. I installed WordPress, the theme, and the mandatory plugins, without any additional customizations.
Console Errors:
Here’s what I’m seeing in the browser console:

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
May I enable the default theme for testing?
I await your response.

julian.fernandezParticipantHello,
Yes, please feel free to switch to the default theme for testing. No issues on my end with that.
If you could also take a look at the main problem – “loading HTML dropdowns returns wrong data – Can’t load HTML blocks with AJAX” – I’d really appreciate any extra insights, as I haven’t found a solution in available resources.
Thank you!
Best regards,

julian.fernandezParticipantHi Luke,
Thanks for your help. I’ve switched to the new Gutenberg editor, and so far, it seems to be working better.
However, the issue in the console log persists. The error occurs whenever I remove any of the menu elements, and it continues even if I restore the entire menu. Here’s the specific log message:
“Loading HTML dropdowns returns wrong data – Can’t load HTML blocks with AJAX.”Feel free to test anything on the site as needed. I’ve attached the new credentials for access.
Let me know if you need anything else from my side.
Thanks

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
Navigate to Appearance -> Menus -> and make sure that the “Load HTML dropdown with AJAX” is disabled – https://prnt.sc/ZLKOnLwXJimM
Let me know the result.

julian.fernandezParticipantLuke, that was the first thing I did, and that’s why I gave you the whole staging. Also, other sites on this forum with the same problem haven’t shed any light on this, as all the ones I’ve checked still show the issue: ‘Loading HTML dropdowns returns wrong data – Can’t load HTML blocks with AJAX.’

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
The last time you sent this website but access is not full, there is only password, clarify which full access you have.
Also, the console is empty – https://prnt.sc/VAaQwbFFK1zz clarify where you see the issue with “Can’t load HTML blocks with AJAX”.
Thank you in advance.
Kind Regards

julian.fernandezParticipantThanks Luke. Console is empty because there are HTML blocks to load. The problem arises when you disable those blocks.

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
Okay, I see. May I disable 3rd party plugins and enable the parent theme for testing?
Thank you in advance.
Kind Regards
December 3, 2024 at 5:33 pm #619038
julian.fernandezParticipantThanks, Luke. You can do whatever you need on it; there are no third-party plugins except those installed by Woodmart. Just make sure to document everything so I can reproduce it.
