Gallery images in single product page are clickable

In Theme Settings -> Single Product -> Gallery, I configured ‘Main Image Click Action’ to ‘None’, yet the images are still clickable and this is posing a security threat (at least for my purpose). Please help me disable any click which triggers opening the image a new page, making it downloadable.

Could you please temporarily disable all plugins that are not related to our theme and switch to the parent theme so we can check?
