Gutenberg

Hello.
I started uploading articles to my blog. After two days of struggling with Gutenberg and turning the internet upside down to find a solution to a problem, I now read in this forum that you do not support Gutenberg at all. I did not even consider such a possibility, since when I bought the theme it was clearly stated that it does support Gutenberg. Otherwise I would not have bought it in the first place. When I was looking for a theme on themeforest, I explicitly ran a filter that would filter only those who support Gutenberg.

The text and button appear below the image and not next to it.

How long is it temporary?

It looks like the optimization plugin breaks the CSS file related to Gutenberg. That is why you don’t see them when not logged in and the cache is enabled.

You mean CG optimization plugin?
It’s SiteGrounds. I guess can turn this one off.

Try to reload the page after resizing the browser. As we can see, it looks fine on a real mobile devices.

You’re right. After reload it looks fine.
But when you open a page for the first time and say, reduce a bit the window the gap appears.
And also – what happened to the header that now it does not shrink when scrolling?

Yes, because the script calculates the header height and adds appropriate padding to the content only when the page is loaded. And your mobile and desktop headers are different in size. That is why you see this problem after window resize. But your visitors would never face this problem.

Hello,

Check if you have a correct URL set in Dashboard -> Settings -> General. It should start with HTTPS if you are using an SSL certificate on your website. Then go to Theme Settings and resave them. If it doesn’t help, please, provide us your admin access so we can check.

Thank you. It seems to have helped. On some level.
The header on the home page is sitting in place now. But still messy on one of the other pages (https://janeausten.online/product-category/accessories/)
But yet, on home page and some other pages, the fonts, some of the icons, and custom css do not work.

Ok. I cleared the cache at SiteGround and now almost everything is fine. 🙂
Except for the date on the blog that should not appear according to the custom css.

Could you please send us a screenshot of the element you want to hide and also the screenshot of the CSS you use for that?
