LuspadaParticipantDear Madam/Sir,
Using WPML, my site is available in 3 different languages.
Currently, whichever language visitors choose, the header is available in the default language only. How should I construct a header for each language?
How can I make the header show for its specific language?Thank you for your help.
With kind regards,
Luca

LuspadaParticipantI’ve duplicated the WP installation to make a country-specific webshop, it’s at ponceuseongle.fr.

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
1. Create translations and fill them with content for all items involved in the menu: categories, pages etc.
2. Synchronize the menu in WPML > Synchronize menu.
3. You will translate remaining phrases in WPML Strings through the search.
Please note some of the phrases are used in several places, so you will have to try every equivalent until you find the appropriate one.
Best Regards

LuspadaParticipantHi Elise,
Thank you for your answer.
With step 1 and 2 I understand I need to translate the menus and synchronise.
I did so and that works well.I’m stuck at 3; WPML string translation doesn’t e.g. find ‘Envoyez-nous un email’.
What to do?
Best,
Luca

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
Is it the newsletter? In any case, if you cannot find a phrase in WPML string, navigate to the plugin which provides the phrase and try to find it in the plugin settings.
Best Regards

LuspadaParticipantHi Elise,
No, I’m talking about the part of the header as displayed in the screenshot added.
The “LIVRAISON GRATUITE…” text is from a ‘Text/HTML’ element in the ‘Top bar’ part of the Visual Header Builder (VHB).
The “Nous Parlons…” and “Envoyes…” are from 2 information box elements in the ‘Main header’ of the VHB.
These texts don’t show up in WPML String Translation.
How can I translate those texts?
Best,
Luca

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
1. Create a new header in the language you need.
2. Find it in WPML Strings as shown on the screen: https://prnt.sc/kgxj71
3. Insert the Header ID in the translation, taken from here: http://prntscr.com/kgxkelBest Regards
