Seems to be an issue with the theme. Part of the problem is the print on demand platform I use seems to take the main product image and post it again in the product gallery so you can see it twice.
But as far as the theme goes. For whatever reason when using woodmart, when you select a product, it always replaces the first image with whatever that product selection it is.

You’ll see in the twenty twenty two theme that the product functionality behaves properly when clicking and selecting products. I’ve changed the demo store making it not as big of an issue but still doesn’t behave properly.
On woodmart you’ll see that selecting the navy shirt will replace the top left image with the navy selection. While the secondary/non main product image is the the one underneath that image being the navy shirt. So the navy picture stays as the secondary image and doesn’t change but when you select navy it takes over the top image displaying two navy images.
The only one that comes to mind is the print on demand platform that I use. That’s where the images generate from. I just didn’t have this issue until I started using this theme. It’s possible that woodmart just doesn’t work with what I’m trying to do.
Maybe it stems from a theme I had activated before I started using woodmart?
A bigger issue that I’ve discovered since switching demo stores is this add to cart issue:
I can’t not use the plug in. It’s something that will have to be active. It doesn’t behave different when it’s not activated. That video I sent was while the plugin was not active. The issue seems to be unique to the woodmart theme.
When you select a variation on the single product page it changes the first image in the gallery to this variation’s image. It is the way our theme works. As we can see, WooCommerce works slightly different and we will consider adding more options for this. But as for now, we can’t change this behavior and it is the way it works on our demo too.
