Help with product photo dimensions/sizes

Hello.
I have some questions.
1) What are the recommended photo sizes/proportions on site? (Example; 1200×1500 vs 4:3 vs 16:9)
2) What is the recommended maximum size for photos. (Example: 250kb vs 2mb)
3) For product photo format, is webp format better or jpg format better?
I want the product details to look detailed, but I want to keep the page load speed at the maximum by keeping the photo size to a minimum.
