Hi, have option to order active category/subcategory at the top in the category widget ? Now order by name or category order, but we need to show in the top active category/subcategory, chosen by visitors.

The category widget in the default WooCommerce behavior — categories can be ordered by name or by custom category order set in Products -> Categories.

There isn’t a built-in option to automatically move the active category/subcategory to the top of the list when a visitor selects it. It requires customization and beyond our support policy.

Sorry to say, but the Product Categories that you are mentioning are added in the Sidebar of the Shop and Category pages. The Product Categories shown here are added through a widget Product Categories that can be found under the Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets > Shop page Widget area > there, you can find that: https://postimg.cc/Lhkkxpk8

But currently, this default Widget doesn’t contain an option to show or hide specific Categories unfortunately.

If there is some specific Category that you want to hide on the Sidebar, then kindly mention that with your Site URL so that we can check and provide you with the Custom CSS in this regard, if applicable.

Just to clarify, do you want to completely remove the categories except this and only keep this one visible, or would you like the inactive categories to remain but be hidden/collapsed when the active one is expanded?

Hello, I honestly don’t know how to explain the situation more clearly. Our client wants only the active categories and their subcategories to be displayed in the sidebar. I’ve attached a screenshot where I’ve clearly crossed out the inactive categories. I’ve also marked the active one that should be shown. In this case, the selection is random, but the logic, as I mentioned above, is that inactive categories should not be displayed.

Thank you for clarifying with the screenshot. I understand now — you would like the sidebar to display only the currently active category and its subcategories, while hiding all inactive categories.

Sorry, but there is no option in Theme Settings available for that. It requires customization, and this is beyond our limitations and support policy.
