The “Email for social links” option is adding the email icon that opens an email client on the desktop to send a link to this page to someone.

Hello,
The social links “Email” field (Theme Settings > Social Profiles) creates a mailto: link that opens your default email client (e.g., Outlook/Gmail app) pre-filled with the current page URL—to let visitors email the link to friends. It’s not for direct contact.
