Hide categories

Is it possible to hide some categories (not delete them) and their products from my shop?

The website is under construction at the moment.
For example, If I have the following categories:
1) Women’s shoes
2) Men’s shoes
3) Women’s t-shirts
4) Men’s t-shirts
5) Hats

I want to Hide the categories Hats and Men’s shoes and and all products belonging to them.

Unfortunately, there is no such an option right now. You need to find a third party plugin to achieve more functionality that best suits you.
