Hide product category in shop product list is not working.

I am trying to hide the product category in the shop product list, but it’s not working from the settings. So, currently, I hide from CSS.

Can you tell me why this is not working, or am I in the right setting?

This is happening because you are using a custom Product Loop Item layout. When a custom loop is active, the default Theme Settings do not control elements like product categories anymore. Instead, everything is managed directly inside the Loop Builder.

So in your case, the category is being added from the layout itself, which is why the setting is not working. Please navigate to Layouts > Loop Item and edit your active layout, then remove the “Product Categories” element directly from there. After saving the changes and clearing the cache, check how it works.

I checked the same step you mentioned, but I can’t see anything when I edit the “Product loop item layout” in Elementor. Even I can’t see if I do regular editing with the editor. Check more for the screenshots.
