harislivParticipantHello i just updated the Woodmart core plugin from the plugin area and i noticed that the loading of the home page takes too long.
i cant figure out a way of solving this.July 15, 2020 at 12:35 pm #211222
Artem TemosKeymasterHello,
Could you please check how it works with some default WordPress themes like TwentyTwenty or WooCommerce Storefront to understand is it our theme issue or not?
Regards
July 15, 2020 at 12:51 pm #211241
harislivParticipantHello. It works just fine with the default themes. I tested it with GTMETRIX too. I really dont know what to do. Please check the attached image.

Artem TemosKeymasterBut the GTmetrix reports says that you need to reduce your images size on the home page. And the page size is 3.8MB so probably your images are not optimized before uploading too.
July 15, 2020 at 12:57 pm #211249
harislivParticipantOh ok thanks. what about the Javascript part though?
July 15, 2020 at 1:20 pm #211259
Artem TemosKeymasterWe fix JS loading issue using the WP Rocket plugin on our demo. It optimizes and combines them all to improve their loading time.
July 15, 2020 at 1:46 pm #211278
harislivParticipantHmm its not free plugin i see. Do you have a free one to suggest?
July 15, 2020 at 2:07 pm #211287
Artem TemosKeymasterYou can try to use some free plugin like WP Total Cache or Super Cache but they are difficult to configure and may have some conflict with other plugins installed. But in general, our theme is fully compatible with them too.

harislivParticipantHello again,
So i figured out the problem is the product images. What in your opinion is the best filesize and dimensions for a product image.July 21, 2020 at 1:18 pm #212913
Artem TemosKeymasterRead our documentation about image sizes here https://xtemos.com/docs/woodmart/faq-guides/image-size-content-alignment-product-grid/
July 22, 2020 at 1:51 pm #213210
harislivParticipantOK SO I deleted every product on my site and images too. Home page loads in 2 seconds. I uploaded 120 products. Now page loads in 12 seconds. When i change theme homepage loads in 3-4 seconds. Can you check it with admin credentials?
July 22, 2020 at 9:57 pm #213213
Artem TemosKeymasterWhat exactly should we check?
July 23, 2020 at 7:52 am #213386
harislivParticipantYou should check why your theme causes this much delay on the page. As you can see on the screenshot attached the page is 1.47 mb and loads in 7.2 sec.

Artem TemosKeymasterYour real website loading time is around 1second and you need to check the time with Google chrome inspector https://gyazo.com/7743c7b8d97ea62e27d483e3a63ebe54
July 23, 2020 at 10:18 am #213442
harislivParticipantIs there a way to enable a preloader?
July 23, 2020 at 12:23 pm #213497
harislivParticipantI enabled again the product tabs and the page loads in 7+ seconds. This is insane. Images are optimized.
July 23, 2020 at 12:27 pm #213501
Artem TemosKeymasterHello,
Could you please disable all plugins that are not related to our theme and provide us your admin access so we can check it?
Thank you in advance
July 23, 2020 at 12:34 pm #213503
harislivParticipantHello, I deactivated all plugins that are not related to your theme and wrote the admin credentials in the private area.
Thanks in advance!July 23, 2020 at 12:42 pm #213511
Artem TemosKeymasterPlease, send us your FTP access as well.
July 23, 2020 at 12:44 pm #213515
harislivParticipantIts a managed server. I dont have FTP access. Can i ask the hosting providers for something?
July 23, 2020 at 12:49 pm #213516
Artem TemosKeymasterWe have changed the size for WooCommerce images and now it seems to work without delay when images are displayed on the page. Please, check from your side.
July 23, 2020 at 1:09 pm #213526
harislivParticipantI cant imagine why this is happening but it works. Images look blurry too though. That is the previous ticket i posted. Is there a way of not showing blurry images and not delaying the site?
Thanks a million times!July 23, 2020 at 3:17 pm #213461
Artem TemosKeymasterYes, you can enable it in Theme Settings -> Performance -> Preloader.
July 27, 2020 at 8:55 am #214469
harislivParticipantHello again. Is there a way of not displaying blurry images and not delaying the site at the same time?
July 27, 2020 at 9:35 am #214483
Artem TemosKeymasterSorry, but your question is not quite clear. Could you please provide some screenshots for a better explanation?
July 27, 2020 at 10:24 am #214511
harislivParticipantSo on friday you changed some settings about how images are diplayed and you fixed the delay of the site. The problem is that images appear blurry now. You can check the attached screenshot or use the admin credentials to check it on your own.
Thanks in advanceAttachments:

Artem TemosKeymasterTry to increase images sizes in Appearance -> Customize -> WooCommerce -> Product images.
July 28, 2020 at 10:07 am #214814
harislivParticipantNothing happens. Can you please tell me what dimensions are the product images in the demo so i bulk crop every product image.
July 28, 2020 at 11:09 am #214828
Artem TemosKeymasterTry a few values like 400, 500, 600, and see if the quality improves.
