How can I make “Default Form Values” work on category pages?

In the product page settings, there is an option to select a default value for variable products https://take.ms/CTDbJ (“Default Form Values:”) . But this only works on product pages https://take.ms/xSwvQ . How can I make the selected default value also work on category pages https://take.ms/eGTws ?

Sorry, but that functionality should not work on the product grid, because when the page is loaded, the images will twitch, because of this, this functionality was disabled.
