How do I disable the product catalog sidebar

Where can I disable the sidebar for the product category catalog and shop page? I’ve tried many times in the theme settings but can’t seem to turn it off.

Navigate to Theme Settings > Product Archive > Sidebar — set the sidebar position “1 column”.

I tried changing the settings in the theme options, but it didn’t seem to work. Then I remembered that I could try using Elementor to edit these pages to see if I could hide or delete the sidebar.
But I don’t understand, I imported a demo theme and modified it, so why aren’t the sidebar settings in the theme options working?

Hello,
A new problem has arisen. After hiding the sidebar in Elementor, a large empty space appears on the right side. I tried changing the “Products columns on desktop” setting from 4 to 5, but the problem persists.

Hello,
Please do the following in Elementor:
1. Edit the shop/archive page with Elementor.
2. Delete the container/column where the sidebar widget is placed.
3. Select the container that contains the product archive.
4. Set its width to 100% .
After this, the empty space on the right will be removed and the products will correctly expand to the full width.
