I’ve installed done the Base Import, added all plugins, updated everything (to 4.1 on the theme), tried out the demo themes, and gone through the documentation, but I’m still at a loss when it comes to re-producing demo pages.

The two in which we’re particularly interested are entitled “AJAX Shop – Product Landing Page” at https://woodmart.xtemos.com/shop/ and “Accordion Content – Product Detail Page” at https://woodmart.xtemos.com/shop/furniture/euismod-aliquam-parturient/?opt=accordion_content. Neither title appears anywhere in the installation – backend or menus. The dropdown menus for Pages and Elements are almost completely empty (just a few under Pages). So what am I missing? Is this normal? How are we supposed to be able to install those particular demos or are they just for show?

    Hello

Both of those pages the “shop page” and the “product page” is included in our demo. So when you import the demo content both of them automatically included in your site.

As your site is in the maintenance mode so i’m not able to check your site. As you said that titles and menus not appearing.
To enable the page titles you can edit any page and enable the title from the “Page title options” as in the screenshot:

For the menus, once you have imported the Base Content, you can set the menus from Appearance >> Menus.
About the elements you must have to make sure that you have installed and activate all the required plugins for theme.

Demos are not just for show, You can use all of them in your site from the Woodmart >> Base Import >> Demo Versions.

If those two and other similar page demos are meant to be available in effect as templates for further work, then something went wrong during installation. I could try deleting the theme files and I suppose the plugins as well, the re-installing, though I wonder if there might not be a more efficient and likely effective way to proceed.

I’ve taken the site out of Maintenance mode for the moment. You’ll see, if you return to it, that the submenus under “Elements” are all completely empty, and under Pages are all empty except for under Portfolio. All of the submenu items under Blog and Shop are are empty labels – [siteurl]#

I’ll note that when I try re-importing and activating the Base Version, the routine runs for just a few seconds and jumps to 100%. When I run the Set Up Version routine, the import moves gradually from 1 to 15% or so, then jumps to 100%. I get a similar pattern and results regardless of the demo theme I choose. The Cosmetics theme is the one we expect to start with.

    Hello,

The shop page on your site “https://www.plantfoodhealing.com/shop/” and the product page “https://www.plantfoodhealing.com/product/classic-wooden-chair/” are looking just fine. If you are talking about the images of all the products then i have to notify you those demo images not included when you import the demo due to copyright reasons. You have to use your own images for the products and banners as well.

I have seen your menus. Your menus imported fine as expected. But after importing demo we have to set the menus links according to our choice. So that’s why “#” is set for almost all the menu items. You can edit the “main-menu” and change the pages links from Appearance >> Menus and edit their HTML Blocks as shown in the below screenshot:
    https://screenshot.net/0zzodij

As your pages and elements menu are shown empty, because cosmetics demo did not include both of them. But you can add pages or links manually from the Menus sidebar.

Thanks, I know how to create and modify menus in WordPress.

The implication for someone looking through your demos is that something called “AJAX Shop” should exist somewhere in the demo installation that, if selected, will have the same elements and approximately the same look (other than as modified stylistically by particular demo) as “AJAX Shop” in your demo pages. Likewise for “Accordion Content.”

You seem to be saying instead that, as I originally suggested, these demo pages are just “for show” – as illustrations, not easily reproducible as presented: There’s no simple way to start with a version of https://woodmart.xtemos.com/shop/furniture/euismod-aliquam-parturient/?opt=accordion_content – with the same elements and configuration – and modify from there. Apparently, “AJAX Shop” is just an illustration of one possible arrangement of your shop page, and “Accordion Content” just shows what a product page might show if an accordion display was assigned to it.

So, I guess that’s what we’ll work with.

I guess I can see a purpose for providing submenus with different combinations of non-functional labels, empty spots, and actually working links, but it’s also confusing.

    Hello,

AJAX shop option exist under the Theme Options >> Shop >> AJAX shop. So if you want to enable this option you can switch the option from “off” to “on” as in the screenshot:
    https://screenshot.net/24q6lsl

Actually that page “https://woodmart.xtemos.com/shop/furniture/euismod-aliquam-parturient/?opt=accordion_content – ” might be included in some other demo that’s why your product page not looks like that.

Our dummy content data is developed in the way that prevents your website from being populated with a lot of unnecessary data (like tons of images, pages, and products) because they are not really useful for you. So you can achieve different looks of pages by importing different demos from Woodmart >> Base Import option.

Sub menus contains empty links so that you can use any custom links of your choice.

Just to be clear, your theme does look rich, up-to-date, and well put together, and I appreciate your help. I’ve just found the presentation a little confusing, or anyway, obviously, it left me a little uncertain about what to expect and how to proceed – maybe because I’ve had experience with other themes that handled their demo content and built-in options differently, and with figuring out things for myself that might have worked out much easier if I had just used what theme authors had already provided.

So, thanks for clarifying matters. We’ll be back if it turns out we need a higher level of support.

    Hello,

Ok, if you need any help or support in the future, feel free to contact us, we are always here for your help and support. And also our theme documentation is more easier than other themes as you can easily find any option in the theme documentation by using the search facility.

Also, you can watch the video tutorials for getting more familiar with theme options:
