How to activate the theme translation

I currently have my website in spanish. I downloaded the files .mo and .po and rename them as woodmart-es_PE.mo & woodmart-es_PE.po. I copy those files into the directory: my_theme/wp-content/languages/themes & I clear all caches from my website. I did all those steps & my website all texts are still in english. Do I have to do some other step?

Prueba con esto. Ve al Panel de WordPress -> Configuración -> General y cambia el idioma a cualquier otro, graba y luego regrésalo a Español.
