How to add a new main category that expands with subcategories in the menu

Hello,
I can’t figure out how to edit and add a “main” (true) category in the shop. For example, I would like to add a new main category (e.g., “Make up 2x”) but I can’t find any option to do this. If I add it to the menu as a regular product category, it does not expand in the menu with its subcategories like the other main categories do.
Could you please explain how to create or add such a main category so that it behaves the same way as the existing ones?

Hello,
It seems you’re referring to post categories rather than product categories from WooCommerce.
Go to Dashboard > Posts > Categories: https://postimg.cc/rzDWCP2Q, You can edit these categories if you want to show this in the shop page. Navigate to Appearance > Widgets > Add the category widget in the shop page sidebar widget.
