    Hi,

can you tell me how to change the short text below the cover image on the main blog page?
    See the screenshot for clarification.
On some pages I’ve added my text, on some, it still defaults.

Ok, I understand that it’s a short few lines from the original text in that blog post, but in cases where the text is changed, the short old text stays.
Take a look at the second screenshot:
    How to resolve this?
    Regards

    Hello,

If you mean the text in the box, this is the category. You can change the category by re-assigning a post to a different category. You can find the option in the post-editing mode.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.

    Best Regards

I thought that screenshots and links in private would explain my question.

Every post should be unique, and short intro text (or how you call it the text in the box) should be the beginning of the original text that you can see when you open ” CONTINUE READING”.

I don’t want a universal text from the assigned post category to appear here if that is what you are referring to.
Take a look at my blog link in private, and check a short text on the 4th and 5th post, it looks ok (it is the beginning of the original text that you can see when you open continue reading)

but when you check the first post on a blog page ( The Raw side, bull paintings) you can see a short text that I can’t locate, and it’s not a short text of that blog post.

Other posts are still unchanged from default, I still have to edit them.
Can you tell me how to change that text on a first post?

    Hello,

Unfortunately, the WoodMart theme does not have the option to add any custom text into the posts grid.

You can create a custom page, create a template with columns and rows, insert manually images, text and link this to each blog post. This is the only way to insert different content into the grid.

    Best Regards

I don’t know why that is sooo hard to check for you!
I’ve already done that on the first post on my blog.
But the old text still stays.
Can you check that again, or we are going to spend a few days on this for nothing?

    Hello,

By default, this text is generated from the main description of the single post. You can insert your custom text into excerpt: https://wordpress.com/support/excerpts/

You can find the options to confirue the length of the excerp in the Thme Settings > Blog.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.

    Best Regards

Ok. As I said I know that the text is generated from the main description of a single post.

I have text in my post, but this short text it’s not generated from the main description of the single post.

    It’s some default short text.

By the way, I found it in a post dashboard under the featured image you should see an excerpt, you will locate that text there, and you can change it there.
I guess that this is the answer to my question.

    Hello,

Please check the excerpt, when you add the excerpt it replaces the text generated from the first part of the post content.

    Best regards
