How to cleanup Woodmart Theme and remove Demo content?

Our developer implemented our website using the Woodmart theme but didn’t clean up and remove any demo content. We are now left with a lot of junk that is causing us trouble with SEO and site speed. We need to find a process to perform this cleanup without impacting our website.

Following is an example of the unnecessary stuff on the website which may not be visible to the customers but it’s there increasing the size of webpages.

We are also seeing duplicate H1 and H2 tags being added by the theme which is causing issues with our SEO. For some reason, the product description is being duplicated.

Please find below the login information to one of our stage environments. We had to put a customization to change the title of the Product to be in div and not in H1. For SEO the H1 tag should have the complete product name which includes the Brand and then the product name. However, since we want the brand to be an anchor text it cannot be part of the product title.

We are adding the full name (brand + product name) in H1 tags in the product description. However, for some reason, in Woodmart theme the product description appears twice when you look at the page source. That is causing issues for SEO. Many SEO tools have flagged that.

Thanks for details.

You are also using Custom Single Product layout, which is built with WoodMart WooCommerce builder. And the product details set to hide on desktop so can’t see it. Navigate to Layouts > Layout and delete it.
