How to disable enter key on search box

Hello,

With the ajax search, is it possible to disable the Enter key?

Currently, as you type, the ajax filter works well, but it is quite a common habit to hit enter after typing (if ajax has not been quick enough) and this then takes you to the search page (away from ajax results).

Is it possible to disable the enter key for the search input, and then simply rely on the user clicking on. “View all results” should they wish to see all results page?

Furthermore, after having performed a search I note the text remains in the search input if you close then open the search again (without having clicked on a link) but the results are not displayed. Is it possible to retain the previous search results, or perhaps clear the search input when you reopen the search?

1- Sorry but there is no option in Theme Settings available for that. It requires Customization and this is beyond our limitations and support policy scope. Hope you can understand our limitations.

2- Sorry to say but as you know the Search works with AJAX functionality in this Full Screen search so when you close it while searching and then come back again then the Search wasn’t typed which it needs to be because it is a Live Search, so the AJAX didn’t get to function which is why it is happening like this because it’s the default functionality of it. Right now, there isn’t any option available to change that, it would also eventually require Customization to do so, which is beyond our limitations and support policy scope.
