How to Display Category Descriptions Above Product Grids in WoodMart + Adding a ‘Read More’ Button

Dear WoodMart Support Team,

I hope you are doing well.

I need some assistance regarding the display of category descriptions on my store. Currently, the category descriptions are appearing below the product grid, but I would like them to be displayed above the product grid instead. I remember adjusting this setting before but can’t recall how to do it. Could you please guide me on how to modify this?

Additionally, some of my category descriptions are quite long. I would like to add a “Read More” button or another solution that allows me to display only a short preview of the description while keeping the full text accessible if needed. This would prevent the product grid from being pushed too far down on the page.

Could you advise on the best way to implement this feature? If it requires custom CSS or JavaScript, I would appreciate a code snippet or guidance on where to insert it.

You can change the position description of the category from Theme Settings > Product Archive > Category Description Position: https://ibb.co/p1cpLK2

I’ve applied the parameter and it’s working well — the description now appears at the top, and I also saw that we can add an extra description that shows above the category grid. That’s great for SEO and for providing more information to customers — really useful!

However, the top description is displayed in a “simple” way, which is fine (I understand we can’t use your HTML block feature there).
But I wanted to ask: would it be possible to add a “Read More” button for that top description? I’ll definitely need this feature soon.

Thank you again for your precious help.

I have carefully read the documentation, but I’m still not sure how to apply the “Read More” functionality correctly.

For example, on the following page:

I would like the “Read More” link to appear after the text “(Dick, Victorinox, Vogue…)” in the top text block.

I’m providing you with access to the live production site (please be cautious as it is live ).
Would it be possible for you to apply this correctly on the page mentioned above, so that I can reproduce the process on other category pages afterwards?
