How to edit thankyou.php?

I basically just want to amend the thank you text block above the order details but I am unable to find the location of this php file (checked the wp ashboard as well as the webhost cpanel/php admin)

wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/templates/checkout/thankyou.php (I found this link in another support topic).

Attached a screenshot where I have added the desired block as additional HTML block but of course I don’t want to have it double.

Go to Theme Setting -> Shop -> thank you page -> add Extra content for “Thank you page” and disable the option Default “Thank you page” content.

In this case html blocks content is shows and default content will hide

Hi, I have added an aditional contant block but I don’t want to delete the whole default content, I only want to delete the bordered thank you banner on top respectively amend it to look like the added block. Fot this it is necessary to edit the php yet I don’t know where to find it.

If you mean that you want to add it on the Thank you page then you can find the code for this page in the file:
woodmart/woocommerce/checkout/thankyou.php.

Yes, that’s what I mean. Yet I have a kind of brain fog and have no clue how/where to open and edit the file…

It requires customization in the theme php files. It requires Customization and this is beyond our limitations and support policy scope. Hope you can understand our limitations.

I would edit it by myself, I kindly only need to get the info where to find the editable file.

Navigate to the “Appearance” section in the left-hand menu and click on “Theme Editor.”
On the right side of the Theme Editor page, you’ll see a list of files that make up your WordPresstheme. Look for the PHP file you want to edit and click on it. Note: Be cautious while editing PHP files, as incorrect modifications can break your website. It’s always a good idea to create a backup before making any changes.

I’ve managed to change the text after having finally found the php (thanks for your hint) plus adding a css snippet in additional css. *proudofmyself*
