How to keep sub categories visible

How can we keep the sub category widget showing the whole time while the customer in in the parent category.

For example in the screenshot, when he customer is in the Baths & Bathtubs top category, you can see the sub categories on the right present. But when I click on a subcategory “Back to Wall” the sub category menu disappears.

How we I keep all the sub categories showing all the time while the user is in that major category “Baths & Bathtubs”

Please check how it works with the default wordpress theme just to check whether the issue is with our theme or not.

No issues with the theme. I cant get it working with defult theme
