how to set image size and still maintain high resolution clarity

Hi, Im working on a new home page for my site. Im using home electronics tameplate.
I try to upload new images instead of the demo’s images.
unfortunately i cant succeed to get the same resolution as the demo.
Do you have any suggestion how to do it ?
