As we can see, there is some kind of PHP error appears when our theme is active. It seems that your server doesn’t display errors and just returns 500 Internal Server Error and it is impossible for us to understand what kind of error is there. You need to contact hosting providers and ask to give you the error log when you visit your website with our theme active. Then, send us this PHP error so we can check why it appears.

    Reply from Hosting providers

In this regard, the current hosting at VinaHost supports customizing PHP version as well as related values. So you can enable / disable error messages (display_errors), enable / disable log errors (log_errors) with each respective php version.

For the support of the developer support, he can provide their cPanel login page with instructions to change php version, turn on / off error:

+ Edit the version of PHP

Go to cPanel, under Software => select “Select PHP Version” => Here you can customize the PHP version you want to use. When done click on “Set As Current”

    + Add / remove extensions

Go to cPanel, under Software => select “Select PHP Version” => Here you can customize PHP Extensions by ticking on which extension you want to enable. When finished click “Save”

    + Customize PHP parameters.

Go to cPanel, under Software => select “Select PHP Version” => Click “Switch to PHP Options” on the right => Here you can customize the PHP values you need. When finished click “Save”

    My hosting information in below

    Thank you so much

As we can see, there is only one error from our theme’s files PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function mb_convert_case(). And it can be fixed by installing mbstring extension on the server https://github.com/shaarli/Shaarli/issues/1053
