Image category-icon in menu thumbnail use

Hi,
i send you this issue last year and know i want to find a solution that the image “category-icon” in menu wont be a thumbnail. It could be an extra select field in menu options or you make a custum function that large images are not used in menu.
Do you have an option or functions for that case?
Example: http://www.optikwolf.de -> Shop submenu

Hello,
The problem is that that category image field stores the image URL itself and not its ID in the Media library. So to change this we will have to change this field behaviour from storing URLs to IDs. And that would lead to losing all the images after the update.

Ok i know what you mean. I think a fallback would be very nice or a migration tool in next updates. Because its very oldschool to manually upload special image for navigation images.
Yes, we will try to find some workaround to this in the update.
