I want to import a new theme without all the pages getting transferred how can I do this?

Can I stage the site somehow and you guide me?

When you import a demo content, it typically includes all the pages and content associated with that demo. If you want to import only some sections then you can try importing using our templates library.

How would I know which sections belong to that theme?
There is no way of staging the site?

Try to create a staging site:

Import the demo on the staging site as you want and you can import-export any content by means of default WordPress functionality: Dashboard > Tools > Import/Export. Export the content from the staging site and import it on the production site.
