i try to import a csv with a lot of images for variations.

I enabled the Additional variations images -> Variations product meta

The imported from woocommerce with meta:woodmart_variation_gallery_data but it doesn’t work

    e.g:
    SKU,meta:woodmart_variation_gallery_data
    3609371000694,”https://impressink.gr/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/0520020-6722.jpg,https://impressink.gr/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/0520020-6722_1.jpg,https://impressink.gr/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/0520020-6722_2.jpg”

    Hello

Thank you for your message. To better assist you, could you please clarify the exact method or plugin you are using to import the CSV file? Also, if possible, please record a short video showing your import process and settings. This will help us identify any potential issues with the import procedure or the CSV format.

Please ensure that the image URLs are publicly accessible and correctly formatted. The meta key you mentioned, woodmart_variation_gallery_data, is correct for additional variation images, but the import method must support importing this custom meta properly.

    Looking forward to your response

    Regards

    I use the woocommerce importer.

Can you suggest any other free plugin for the import?

    I attached a screenshot.

Do you mean that you export the data from one website and attempt to import it onto a different one? Could you please provide us with a step-by-step algorithm so that we can replicate this issue on your website?

    Hello again,

I created a new website, and i try to upload products with variations and variations images.
I have some csv files from my supplier, i edit them to match the woocommerce examples.

I imported all the products, product images and variations. Now i want to import multiple images per variation.
I enabled the Additional variations images -> Variations product meta.

And now i try to import the variations images through the woocommerce importer.
I attached a small example of my csv.

    Hello,

This file is exported for the website using the outdated method of storing images. Consequently, you won’t be able to import it correctly. To resolve this, you need to switch to the Variations products meta section on the website where you made this export and then export your products again.

    Kind Regards

    Hello,

I didn’t export this file — I created it manually.

    Can you please confirm:

Is it possible to import this CSV through the standard WooCommerce importer?

Alternatively, can this be done directly via MySQL?

Do I need to use the image IDs in the woodmart_variation_gallery_data field instead of the URLs?

If you have any documentation or guidelines on how the data should be structured for WoodMart’s variation gallery, that would be very helpful.

Just to clarify, this is a completely new site — nothing has been exported from another installation.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

Yes, you can import this using the WooCommerce core import/export mechanism. To prepare the file properly, you need to create a test export from the website where you added some variations images. This will allow you to see how the meta data is exported, which you can then use to manually prepare your import file. Unfortunately, we don’t have documentation for this process.

    Kind Regards
