Just a quick update for you. It is not possible to use your own Instagram account as a “tester role” as you specify (in order to quickly setup API access). You have to use a facebook account, and one that is not associated with your own account. So it makes this very difficult.
I see the only option is to go through the process of getting our App validated by Facebook (rather a hassle). Anyhow not your fault but facebook are making these things harder!

Sorry, we don’t quite understand what do you mean. Do you mean two separate accounts: one for Facebook and another for Instagram? Yes, that is right.

Yes you state in your instructions you can use your own Instagram account as a “tester”. But this is not correct. You can only add an account which is not associated with your own account. So it seems you cannot add your own instagram account as a tester role (just for your info).
But we tested this instruction from one account and it works correctly for us. Could you please send us a screenshot of the error that you get trying to add your account?
