harshweParticipantQuick Question
Hello Luke,On Live site, We are using Single Image element (WPB) on About Us page. We have below concern.
a). We could not find exact same Widget (or element), while trying to use it on Staging2 site to be used with Elementor. Which one it is, can you please suggest.
https://i2.paste.pics/HQX0H.pngWe tried using similar other Widgets (Elementor), but that did not help for below reason-
b). I could not use the Outline style on other Image widgets in Elementor. We want similar effect on image.
That is, Outline or border just outside of image, not the whole container of the image element. We need like this, which is on live site-
https://i2.paste.pics/HQX1Y.png
https://i2.paste.pics/HQX34.pnghttps://i2.paste.pics/HQX30.png
May be we are missing something. Can you please suggest the exact or similar Widget to be used with Elementor.
So as to have-
-> Outline or border, just around or outside of the image. And
-> To have Title inside and for same image widget to be shown above the image, but outside that Outline or border.Regards

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
The thing is that the “Single Image” element is not related to the theme therefore the Elementor doesn’t have it.
You can add padding with the border to the “Image or SVG” element.
Kind Regards

harshweParticipantHello Luke,
OK. You mean to say, it is related to WPB only.
I tried as per your suggestion, but
b) the Border is not equal on All sides. Even though set 15px padding on all sides.
Yours have equal space, around All 4 sides
https://prnt.sc/ZbIWTbl8qzINOn mine, it shows extra space (padding) for left and right sides, as compared to Top and bottom
https://i2.paste.pics/HSST6.pngHow can we have Outline (or border) like this, outside image. Below is what we can achieve in Single image element from WPB-
https://i2.paste.pics/HSTB2.pngAlso, we asked this-
b. ii) https://i2.paste.pics/HQX30.png
-> To have Title inside-of and for the same image widget to be shown above the image, but outside that Outline.Like, the Custom caption is for Image Element – https://i2.paste.pics/HSSWH.png
How can we have Custom Caption above Image.
And, Instead, of Caption can we have Title or heading, some way or other, by using any other Image Element.Regards

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
b) I have checked it with another image and it works well.
https://gyazo.com/660a6a5dc5cda5030299e59d69f5080c
Seems that the issue is in the image itself. Therefore you can add only padding-top and padding-bottom.
bii) Ok, but you can use e.g. the “Section title” element and it will have the same appearance.
Kind Regards

harshweParticipantHello Luke,
1. b). I could not quite understand, how can any image have an issue in terms of padding and border.
And the image itself is square shaped, that is, 300x300px. So there could be something else.
Or probably, something needs to be resolved or requires to be updated with GIF image, in order for it to work.2. Once we install Elementor on Live site (and deactivate WPB) then how can we copy-paste the page contents of the page (say, Home, FAQ, Contact Us), from Staging2 site to one of the New or relevant Page on Live site.
In order to have exactly same page and contents on Live site, that we currently have on staging2 site.a). Can you please suggest all the possible ways.
b). What is the easiest and best way out of those.
c). Which one you recommend.3. Shall we first Deactivate WPB and then Install and Activate Elementor. Or else, we shall first install and activate Elementor and then deactivate WPB.
Or else, shall we follow some other approach3.b). Is there anything else, that you want to recommend or suggest, before and while switching from WPB to Elementor on existing Live site.
Whatever points and steps, you would like share. Please suggest.Regards

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
1b) First of all for this element set the “Inline” width: https://prnt.sc/0X35e-GvX04q
For the column align it on the center: https://prnt.sc/DAOmtC8eRGhu
At the end, you will have border that simmilar as you have on the live site.
2. Here is a documentation on how to use temlates in the Elementor:
https://elementor.com/help/save-page-as-template/
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6kIxgp8cio8
You can first install and activate Elementor and then deactivate WPB.
Kind Regards

harshweParticipantHello Luke,
1 b). Thank you for the steps and tips. I will try these and let you know.
2. Other than the Template option, can you please other ways to copy-paste the page contents of the page (say, Home, FAQ, Contact Us), from Staging2 site to Live site.
Otherwise, I will have to create so many Templates for each page. And I am still not sure how to do that.
2.b). I come across one thing, but not sure how to do that. Will it copy the entire page or just a column or section or element.
https://i2.paste.pics/HXFKM.png
What is the purpose of this option. Can we use this also. If so, can you please guide with steps.3. Thank you.
And,
3.b). Is there anything else, that you want to recommend or suggest, before and while switching from WPB to Elementor on existing Live site.
Whatever points and steps, you would like to share. Please suggest.Regards

2. 2b) Here is a video explanation of this option:

3. Sorry, for now, I don’t have any additional ideas.
Kind Regards
