Issue loading some but not all product pages with WP 6.9

Hey guys!

I just updated my staging site to WP 6.9 and I stumbled upon some weird behavior.

When trying to view product pages, some of them are loading just as normal and some of them load infinitely and nothing happens.

What I did so far:
– I have disabled all plugins except Woodmart Core, WooCommerce and Elementor. Same issue.
– I have then switched to Storefront. And everything works as normal.
– I did re-enable all plugins (still using Storefront) and everything still works.
– As soon as I switch back to Woodmart (no matter if the regular Woodmart or the Child Theme), the issue happens again.

The really strange thing is, that it only happens for specific product pages. Even though they are technically identical to other product pages which are loading just fine.

Yes, we see some problems with the single product page. Could you please send us your FTP access so we can troubleshoot this?

Try to add the following PHP code snippet to the child theme functions.php file to fix this

add_action('woodmart_get_prev_product_same_term', '__return_true');

Thank you Artem, this fixes the issue.

Just for my understanding: Is this a snippet which I must keep forever or will this fix be a part of a future release and I can then remove it again from the functions.php file?

We will release a patch with this fix soon.

We have released a new patch that should permanently fix the issue and make the product’s navigation work correctly – 699310. Please apply it and let me know if it works.
