soporte_webParticipantHello, we are using the Woodmart theme with Elementor and we have noticed that when we change the background of a slide on the homepage, the image does not update correctly and the previous version is still displayed.
We would like to know the correct way to create slides in order to use different images for desktop and mobile, ensuring they display correctly when updated.
Thank you for your support.

soporte_webParticipantHello,
Is it possible to configure the slider to have a different image for desktop and another one for mobile?April 9, 2026 at 10:20 am #715517Hello,
You can set different background images for desktop and mobile directly in the slider settings.

soporte_webParticipantHello,
We have tried setting a different image for mobile as suggested, but it does not appear correctly on the mobile view.
Could you please advise why it might not be displaying?
April 10, 2026 at 10:48 am #715615Hello,
To achieve better responsiveness, it’s recommended to use different image sizes for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
In the Slide Settings section, you’ll find options to upload different images for various devices and adjust their positions accordingly.
This ensures the slide looks visually correct and performs well across all screen sizes.

soporte_webParticipantHello,
Could you please send us a screenshot so we can clearly see where this option is located?
That would help us find it more easily.

soporte_webParticipantYou mentioned that I should change the settings under Slide Settings > Background > Image (Mobile).
However, as I explained in message #715573, I already tried setting a different image there and it is not working on my side.
Could you please check if there might be another setting or conflict affecting this?
April 11, 2026 at 8:57 am #715717Hello,
The slide image is showing fine on your site.
See this screenshot: https://postimg.cc/9DzpT3dp
But if you do not want to upload a separate image, and want the background image to be shown in full without cropping, please go to: Slide > Edit Slide -> Background Settings (at the bottom) and set the Background Image Size option to “Contain”.
Best Regards

soporte_webParticipantHello,
The screenshot you sent does not correspond to the image currently assigned in Slide → Background → Mobile.
As shown in this image:
https://postimg.cc/bd25zYfnOn the left side, you can clearly see the image currently displayed on mobile, which is incorrect and does not match the one configured. On the right side, you can see the slide editing panel, where the mobile background image is correctly set to a different file.
Could you please clarify why a different image is being displayed in the mobile view than the one configured in the Background (Mobile) option?
Please check this on your side, as the configured image is not the one currently being rendered on mobile.
Thank you.

To resolve this issue, please remove the main image from the Image section of the slide.
Then, upload the images separately for each device (Desktop, Tablet, Mobile) in the Background settings of the slide.
This ensures that the correct image is loaded for each device and avoids conflicts between the main image and background images.
Best Regards

soporte_webParticipantHello,
Thank you for your response.
We have already followed all the recommended steps: removing the main image, setting separate background images for Desktop, Tablet, and Mobile, clearing all caches, and regenerating CSS.
However, the issue is still not resolved. On mobile devices, the slider continues to load an incorrect image file: SEL-WEB-Banners-Home-Mobile-20.png, instead of the image configured in the slider editor: GADS-120X1200-INV20ES.
At this point, we cannot identify any additional configuration on our side that could be causing this behavior.
The client is requesting an urgent fix, as the incorrect mobile version is currently visible on the live site, and we cannot keep it exposed for long.
Could you please review this directly in the WordPress backend as soon as possible, since we have already applied the configuration you suggested and the issue is still visible?
Alternatively, please let us know if there is any known bug or override in Woodmart that could force a different mobile background image in sliders.
We would appreciate your prompt assistance to resolve this as soon as possible.
Thank you.
April 14, 2026 at 3:01 pm #715960Hello,
Please deactivate all the 3rd party plugins and activate only theme-required plugins on the site, and then check the issue. I am sure your issue will be solved. Then activate the 3rd party plugins one by one and check which plugin is creating the issue for you.
Otherwise, if the issue still exists, then keep the 3rd party plugins deactivated and let me know, so I can check and give you a possible solution.
Best Regards,

soporte_webParticipantHello,
Thank you for your reply.
We have detected that previous background images are being stored/accumulated inside the generated Elementor CSS file located at:
/wp-content/uploads/elementor/css/post-1614.cssAs shown in the attached screenshot, this file keeps references to old background images even after they have been changed or removed in Elementor. This may be causing the incorrect background to persist on mobile devices.
Could you please confirm if this is expected behavior or if there is a way to prevent Elementor from retaining old background image references in the generated CSS? We have already cleared all caches and regenerated the CSS, but the issue still persists.
Best regards,
April 15, 2026 at 9:50 am #716005Hello,
What you are seeing is not expected behavior, but it can happen when Elementor’s generated CSS files are not properly regenerated or cached versions are still being served.
Navigate to Elementor > Tools and Click “Regenerate CSS & Data” and then click “Sync Library” and check the issue.
Clear all layers of cache, Plugin cache, Server cache and CDN cache.
If the issue still remains, Could you please temporarily disable all plugins that are not related to our theme and switch to the parent theme? Test how it works and let us know if this helps. Keep them turned off so we can test this, either.
Best Regards

soporte_webParticipantHello,
Thank you for your response.
We are experiencing the issue again. We are using separate background images for desktop and mobile, but the mobile background image is still not displaying correctly.
We have already followed the recommended steps (regenerating CSS & Data, syncing the library, and clearing all cache layers), but the problem persists.
Could you please review this again and help us identify the cause? We urgently need a solution, as the client needs the promotional banner (starting today) to display correctly.
Best regards,
April 23, 2026 at 2:53 pm #716779Hello,
I have edited the “Promo Alfombras 1” slide and uploaded the separate image for mobile and it is working fine.
See Screenshot for clarification: https://jumpshare.com/s/PeehLCBVssqvsYa5XQZ6
