Issue with checkout proces backend

Hello,
When customer is starting the checkout process the event “begin_checkout” starts but when completing the checkout process the theme says on the thank-you page also “begin_checkout”. Please see the attachments.
This datalayer needs to be fixed asap, otherwise Google Shopping is not working correctly.

Please make a full backup of your site and check how it works with some default WordPress themes like TwentyTwenty or WooCommerce Storefront to understand is it our theme issue or not?

We have checked this and the Google Tracking is working perfectly fine without the custom layout. When activating the custom layout again it is not working anymore. So the issue is in the custom checkout layout. What to do now?

We have tested the check out page with the custom layout and also without the custom layout. When using the custom layout the Google Tracking is not working properly and without the custom layout there is no issue at all.
I have added a screenshot which shows the issue. Number 47 in the row must be ‘purchase’ instead of ‘begin_checkout’. This happens with the custom layout when returning to the website after completing the payment.
