burkhart-engineering.comParticipantHello,
after updating to the latest version of the WoodMart theme, we encountered an issue where variation images are no longer displayed when selecting a product variation. The images are loaded in the background (verified via the browser network panel), but they are not visible on the frontend. This issue did not occur in the previous version of the theme. We are using the latest version of WooCommerce and WordPress. No major plugin changes were made during the theme update.
Thank you in advance for your support!July 15, 2025 at 9:55 am #673989
Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
Please send access to the admin panel so I can investigate that issue. Also, confirm the permission for plugins deactivation and switching to the parent/default theme for testing.
Kind Regards

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
The main variation image should be defined as well – https://take.ms/r3Xfb
After defining it, here is the result – https://take.ms/U8BMba

burkhart-engineering.comParticipantThanks for the description. Before the update, it worked without it. We have over 400 variable products, so I can’t reassign all products. Is there another remedy here?

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
First of all, we would like to draw your attention to the fact that your variation gallery configuration deviates from the recommended structure. In most cases, to display multiple images when selecting a variation, the Variation Image Gallery option is used, while the main image is set in the standard variation image field. However, in your case, as we can see, all images are added as additional ones — which causes issues with the updated variation display mechanism.
Starting from the latest updates of the WoodMart theme, we have made changes to the gallery-switching mechanism when selecting variations. This was done to ensure proper compatibility with the latest versions of WooCommerce, particularly after the update described here:
https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/pull/54923WooCommerce has updated its logic for handling variation images, and accordingly, we have adapted the theme functionality to avoid conflicts and ensure stable operation.
In your case, for everything to work correctly, you need to add or move the image into the default variation image field.
Kind Regards
