Issue with .po and .mo inside of the theme

Hi, I want to translate everything to Spanish (including woocommerce too). So I’ve inserted .po and .mo files into appropriate place but it is simply not working. I tried the same on backup site where I test things and it worked nicely on twenty eleven theme. Can you please help me to achieve that? I’ve installed Loco to help to locate things too just as you recommended in few forum posts.

We recommend you using free Loco plugin whic allows importing mo files. You can translate all theme and plugin texts via PO file in WordPress. We suggest you to keep translated files in wp-content/languages/themes/woodmart-pt_PT.po folder.

I checked your video way before. I’ve inserted .po and .mo files manually otherwise I’ll need to translate whole content in Spanish which is nonsense as woocommerce gives me already done .po and .mo files which I uploaded but it does not work. I tried the same way on default theme and it is working. That’s why I do believe it is a theme issue. Please help

Which strings do you have the problem with? You have two files for Spanish, leave the one, you use. I am checking “Proceed to checkout” https://prnt.sc/q3xcvt it works

I’ve followed this: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-localization/ and get .mo and .po files from there because I want to have all woocommerce related things transferred but I’m not sure if its working (I will say it does not working…)… For example, at the top menu you have MY ACCOUNT which is not translated (should be MI CUENTA). Try to hover on MY ACCOUNT, SEARCH icon, WISHLIST icon or CART icon you’ll see that names are in english. When you hover on that while you are logged in – you’ll see Wishlist and Logout which should also be translated but its not. Then, on product pages you will see under the price Compare and Add to Wishlist which is also not translated. There are few more things but this is what I’m seeing right now.

Try to translate Cart, Wishlist and Search in Loco > Theme > Woocommerce. Wishlist is Woodmart built-in functionality, Which strings from cart and Search?

Yes, seems like all those links that I mention to you were generated by your theme in english… Do you have maybe all .po and .mo files of a theme in Spanish? So I don’t need to translate every word by word which is quite of them… We can pay extra for this if needed but it is really important to us.

Excellent! I found it and now it works perfect! 🙂 Now just one last thing for now, can you please disable this development mode? I see that that Sample Option is enabled inside which caused my titles to be much bigger and orange. Thanks.

You can disable the maintenance mode in the Theme Settings > Maintenance

Nope, maintenance is off but Sample Options is still there. Can you please check it? Check attachment.

This is coming from Redux Framework. If I recon, before in previous version of your theme that was obligatory plugin, so now it is not anymore?
