Issue with product category image

Hello,

Enable the option “Categories in page title” from Theme Settings -> Product archive -> Page title.

It doesn’t work. For info, I use Elementor pro and created my category page with the feature “Layout”.

I did two more attempts to resolve this issue but it didn’t work as well :
– Deleting the Elementor dynamic image feature as you can see in the red arrow
– I also removed the overlay background where I put a color with some transparence

It still does the same thing , in the first load , the category image doesnt appear, it’s when I reload that it appears.

You are using the container background image. Try to use the page title widget of our theme in the layout.

Is there another method ? I got a lot of layouts (template) and spent some time to make it nice with the breadcrumbs and sub-containers. That could be nice if you find something else?

Now check back your site and check the “Tapis d’orient” category layout. I have added the page title widget in this layout. You need to change the image from products > categories > edit category > Image for the category page title.

Unfortunately, there is no option in theme settings to add the category image directly in this section. You need to use a page title widget for this.

It’s so annoying such a simple thing like this that cannot be fixed. Do you think a developper could help with this ? Or since your integration with Elementor doesnt work 100% we’ll always have issue with this trivial product category image?

Please deactivate all the 3rd party plugins and activate only theme-required plugins on the site and then check the issue. I am sure your issue will be solved. Then Activate the 3rd party plugins one by one and check which plugin is creating the issue for you.

Otherwise, if the issue still exists then keep the 3rd party plugins deactivated and let me know I will further check on your site and give you a possible solution.

Hello, thank you for your help. I had thought of this simple solution as well. However, it doesn’t work in my case because I have many category pages that use the same template/layout. That’s why I need the category image to be dynamic, as it should normally be.

Currently, we do not support Dynamic Tags with the AJAX shop option. Therefore, if you want to use Dynamic Tags, you need to disable the AJAX shop.

We can’t have an online store without being able to properly filter attributes/categories . Therefore, deactivationg AJAX shop option is impossible. Do you think a tiers developper could fix this issue with customization ? Or should i just customize the woocommerce page title widget? Thanks

The previous response was already provided after consultation with the developers, and unfortunately, this behavior cannot be changed with custom code alone. In this case, it is necessary to disable AJAX on the shop page or modify the layout structure by using a real page title element instead of the improvised one. Additionally, the developers will further investigate the issue with dynamic Elementor tags and AJAX for a possible solution in future updates.

I used now the page title widget but it triggers the parent category page not the concerned category. Do you know why ? Do you plan to fix this issue (the previous one) in a futur updates?

It is fine the image category from the page title widget is working. However, this widget lacks customization options compared to other widgets. We are unable to adjust the font, size, or other styling elements. Also, if I try to increase the padding for increase the size of the category image, it doesn’t function as expected. (but that’s fine now, I used custom css)

Are there plans to improve this widget in future updates? Also, do you plan to support dynamic tags with the AJAX shop option? This has been the main cause of this very long ticket since my messages from September 10th.

As for the dynamic tags functionality, unfortunately, they currently cannot work correctly with the AJAX shop, and at this moment, we do not have a ready solution to fix this issue.
