bonusParticipantHello Woodmart Team,
I would like to report a potential issue related to the Product View widget and search functionality.
The problem occurs when using quotation marks in the search query. For example:
Searching for woodmart works normally.
Searching for “woodmart or queries containing quotation marks causes issues when changing the view mode in the Product View widget. The issue appears during the loading of search results from the layout, and I noticed it while using Gutenberg.
Because the problem is triggered by special characters in the search parameter, I believe it would be worth reviewing from both a functionality and security perspective, including possible SQL injection-related handling and sanitization of search inputs.
Environment/details:
Theme: Woodmart
Builder: Gutenberg
Issue location: Product View widget / search results loaded from layoutI hope this helps reproduce and investigate the issue.
Best regards.

bonusParticipantHello,
Thank you for your response.
I would like to clarify that this is not an issue specific to my website. I have been able to reproduce the same behaviour on your official Woodmart demo site.
You can test it here:
https://woodmart.xtemos.com/mega-electronics/?s=%22apple&post_type=productSteps to reproduce:
Open the link above (search query includes a quotation mark: “apple)
Try switching the Product View layout (for example: “Per row list”, “Per row 4”, etc.)
You will notice that the layout switch breaks or behaves incorrectly only when the search query contains quotation marks. When the search term does not include quotes, everything works normally.
Because this issue is reproducible on your demo environment as well, it clearly suggests it is not related to my installation, but rather to how the Product View widget handles encoded search parameters when special characters (like “) are present.
It would be great if your team could check how the search query is being sanitized/handled when passed between layout switches in Gutenberg / Product View widget context.
Thank you for looking into this.
