rgbadminParticipantHello,
We are using your theme on 2 client websites:We are having an issue with the sidebar not appearing on the following pages:
- https://yourlocalrestaurantguide.com/southwest-florida-directory/categories/american/
However, the sidebars are working fine on the same/similar pages of our other website using your theme:
- https://yourlocalcontractorguide.com/southwest-florida-directory/categories/additions-and-remodeling/
We have checked the settings within the pages and within the theme and they are identical for both sites.
We realize we are using a third-party plugin called Directories Pro that is associated with these pages. We already had the plugin developer research the issue and they believe the inconsistency is within the themes not the plugins.
Can you please advise how we would go about correcting this issue?

rgbadminParticipantClient approved access. Please see the ‘Private Content’ for the WordPress Dashboard Access to both of the referenced websites.

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
Please provide the site admin to both sites. Please deactivate the plugins not related to the theme or confirm the permit to do that for them while for checking.
Best Regards

rgbadminParticipantHello, Admin access can be found below in the ‘Private Content’ section. You also have permissions to de-activate plugins, but they must be reactivated immediately following troubleshooting.
Also, Do you have a time frame of when we can expect you to be in the Admin dashboard and approximately how long it will take to troubleshoot?

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
The link of the page which does not have the sidebar is the category page of the custom posts provided by a third parties plugin which does not relate to our theme. That is why our theme does not have any option to set the sidebar on this type of category pages separately. https://prnt.sc/pgmz2v
At the same time, this category page should inherit the settings of the General Layout in the Theme Setting. Now you have set no sidebar. https://prnt.sc/pgnafk Try to set the sidebar in the General layout and the content of the Main Sidebar in Appearance > Widgets would be shown https://prnt.sc/pgnbvn
Please note all the pages would have the Main sidebar. If you do not want it, you can either disable the sidebar on each page individually or set the custom sidebar. https://xtemos.com/docs/woodmart/product-page-options/ This option is provided to all the posts types as well.
You can create custom sidebar if you need https://prnt.sc/pgncbd
Best Regards

rgbadminParticipantHello,
Thank you for your reply. We completely understand your explanation, but still feel there may be an issue within the theme.
The custom post types within the Directories Pro plugin are designated to inherit the settings of the Pages they are assigned to (please see attached).
For example, I have now set the General Layout in the Theme Settings to what you suggested. The sidebars are now appearing on the ‘Category’ and ‘Location’ pages. However, on the ‘Listing’ page, the page is setup with the space for the sidebar but no sidebar is appearing. When we adjust the settings for the ‘Listing’ page to remove the sidebar, it does not adjust. It also is not inheriting the Theme Settings like the ‘Category’ and ‘Location’ pages are.
- Category: https://yourlocalrestaurantguide.com/southwest-florida-directory/categories/american/
- Location: https://yourlocalrestaurantguide.com/southwest-florida-directory/locations/collier-county/
- Listing: https://yourlocalrestaurantguide.com/southwest-florida-directory/listing/fancys-southern-cafe/
In all of our experience with your theme, the individual ‘Page’ settings have always overrode the ‘Theme Settings’.
If you look at https://yourlocalcontractorguide.com/, this website is using the same theme and same Directories plugin. On this website, the sidebars are working. Up until this moment, both websites had identical settings set for all of the custom post type ‘Pages’ as well as the Theme Settings.

- Location: https://yourlocalcontractorguide.com/southwest-florida-directory/locations/collier-county/

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
The widget you are trying to add is not compatible. If you are adding, for example, a calendar, it works well, have a look http://prntscr.com/ph9zwc
Try to add other widgets to the Main Sidebar area.
Best Regards

rgbadminParticipantHello,
You are misunderstanding the issue. The theme settings are not functioning correctly. We do not want a sidebar on this page! When we adjust the settings within the page, it is not overriding the ‘General Layout’ Theme Settings.
In all of our experience with your theme, the individual ‘Page’ settings have always overrode the ‘Theme Settings’.

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
You need to deactivate the plugins not relate to the theme. One and the same theme works correctly at one site and incorrectly on another. It means something on the site where you have the problem that influences them functionality. In most cases, third parties plugins cause the problem. So, first of all, deactivate all the plugins not related to the theme and check the sidebar on pages and posts. Then activate the plugin for listing and check the sidebar, and finally activate the rest of plugins one by one till you detect what influence.s
Best Regards
