Issue with the variable product image

Hi, I have an issue with the variable product image. Mostly to all variable products, when I click on main color, the first picture disappears, which is the main picture for the product. All other variation colors works fine, every picture is where it needs to be. It’s just with the main picture/color. WooCommerce update probably brought this issue. But when I add a new variable product, everything works as it should. What should I do to fix this? Thanks.

I have checked your website and tested the product variations. The main product image is displayed correctly when selecting the variations.

Please check it on your end after completely clearing the cache and let us know if the issue still occurs.

In the screenshot that you provided, that’s the 2nd picture, not the 1st (main). Open the same link and look at the black color, you can see that there are 4 pictures in that color, but when you click on black color, the first picture disappears.

Please deactivate all the 3rd party plugins and activate only the theme-required plugins on the site and then check the issue. I am sure your issue will be solved. Then Activate the 3rd party plugins one by one and check which plugin is creating the issue for you.

Otherwise, if the issue still exists then keep the 3rd party plugins deactivated and share the WP admin login details of your site so I will check and give you a possible solution.

I took a deeper look and found out that the main image for main variation color are gone, I tried to edit product and the image is not there. So, there’s no reason to deactivate all 3rd party plugins. The images are simply not there.

It would be nice to know why and how this happened. It could be because of WooCommerce, WPML or your new update. I updated everything at the same day.

I noticed, when I add a new variable product, everything is fine, but when I clean WPML cache, Remove ghost entries, Clean and optimize string tables, the new added variable product have lost the main image on main color, which usually is “black”. You need to click on switch to see it disappearing.

Yes, because it was already updated. Cant you see the screenshot that I added? The image is clearly not there, so I updated it while taking the screenshot.

Yes, I can see the product. Could you please confirm whether you assigned the image to the main color variation and it disappeared afterward, or if you noticed a different behavior?

I’m currently unable to reproduce the issue. Please share a short video demonstrating the problem, along with the URL of an affected product, so I can investigate and try to reproduce it.
