Warren PickardParticipantHi There,
I created a Basel – Child theme, but it does not seem to be working properly.
I’m trying to troubleshoot an issue, by leaving the Basel – Child theme active and the WooCommerce plugin active, but deactivating all the other plugins.
But when I do that, all the theme styles seem to be gone and this is what I see:
https://hnwgallery.com/fireshot-screen-capture-1504-products-hnwgallery-hnwgallery_com_shop-art/I believe this is to do with the Basel – Child theme, although I’m not sure why this is happening…
Any thoughts?

Artem TemosKeymasterHi,
Could you please send us a link to your website where we can see this issue?
Kind Regards

Warren PickardParticipantHi Artem,
I think I figured it out..
I didn’t create the Basel-Child theme properly.
The only files that exist in the Basel-Child theme (in Appearance > Editor) are style.css and functions.php and all the other files are missing.
I need to do some reading and then try creating the child theme all over again. In the meantime, I’m going to revert back to the parent Basel theme.
However, when I went into Appearance > Editor (to copy & paste a few lines of code that we created in the Basel-Child theme), I noticed there are 4 error messages in the Basel parent theme in style.css that need to be fixed.
Here is a screenshot:
https://hnwgallery.com/fireshot-screen-capture-1506-edit-themes-hnwgallery-wordpress-hnwgallery_com_wp-admin_theme-editor_php/I wanted to bring these error messages to your attention, in case they need to be fixed in the next version of the Basel theme.
I suspect they may be an easy fix, as they are just duplicate code. But I didn’t want to touch anything, because I didn’t want to screw up the style.css file.
If you could get rid of these error messages, it would be greatly appreciated!

Artem TemosKeymasterYou don’t need to worry about these errors. It simply doesn’t recognize some modern CSS rules.

Warren PickardParticipantOK, perfect!!
I do have another question about editing a paragraph on the MY ACCOUNT page.
Here is a screenshot:
https://hnwgallery.com/fireshot-screen-capture-1507-my-account-hnwgallery-hnwgallery_com_my-account/
I contacted WooCommerce and they said this is from the Basel theme:
“I pulled up their documentation and see a few versions ago “ADDED: Login text on registration page” on this page: https://themeforest.net/item/basel-responsive-ecommerce-theme/14906749″
However, I tried to edit this paragraph using Loco Translate. But when I try to find the source text, it doesn’t appear in the Basel theme on Loco Translate, so I can’t edit it.
Do you know how I can edit this paragraph?
Thanks

Artem TemosKeymasterYou can change this text in Theme Settings -> Shop -> My account.

Warren PickardParticipantThank you for this simple answer!
On a separate matter, we’re in the process of final testing prior to launch.
The “Clear filters” links on the Shop page aren’t working properly. Whenever you click on them, it disables all the filters down the left-hand-side of the Shop page.
Here are two screenshots to show you what I mean:
And here is the page where this is happening:
https://hnwgallery.com/shop-art/?filter_art-category=prints-multiplesAfter extensive testing with WooCommerce, here are their comments (in case they are helpful):
– After switching themes, Woo came to the conclusion that the “Clear filters” links were part of Basel.
– They believed it could be coming from these overrides: http://cld.wthms.co/CoVeLi
– They believe it is likely a conflict between the “Clear filters” links in Basel and the layered nav widgets in WooCommerce (“it could potentially be in AJAX requests or something else entirely”).
– They said they wouldn’t be able to change the WooCommerce core widgets to cater to the way the Basel theme has done their filter implementation, and suggested I contact Basel for support.Do you have any thoughts on how to fix this?

Artem TemosKeymasterHi,
Try to disable AJAX shop option in Theme Settings -> Shop.
