Issues with category menu

After I made some changes in the Theme Settings – Wishlist and Compare section, the Category menu disappeared, and now I cannot enable it again. I was using the Furniture template with the green menu. Please help me restore it, as I do not want to start over again.
Is the second time this has happened. 🙁
