There are two issues I need help with.

    1. I have an up-to-date copy of WordPress and all related plugins. I have installed and registered the WoodMart theme by adding the Theme License to the dashboard. I have also successfully updated and saved many of the values under Theme Settings. Despite these facts, when I visit my site, I still have the default theme colors, fonts, spacing, arrangement, and everything else from the default settings. It seems like none of the settings are making any visual difference at all to the frontend of my site. I have tried this with both the WoodMart theme itself and a child theme of WoodMart (one I created using the instructions on WordPress.org). I need this to be resolved so that I can use the theme.

    2. In Theme Settings, when clicking the header item labeled “HTML Blocks”, I am confronted with a page that reads “Invalid post type”. Looking at the URL, it seems to be trying to create a new post of post_type “cms_block”… but WordPress seems to be unable to understand that type. Seems like it is not getting registered.

I would appreciate help with #1 and a bug fix for #2.

    Thanks,
    Zora

P.S. – one important note is that the theme is not working in the same way described in my last message, even on the latest wordpress without any plugins installed or active.

    Hello,

Thank you very much for choosing our theme and for contacting us.

Could you kindly provide clear WordPress installation access, and advise what builder you would like to use: WP Bakery page builder or Elementor?

    We will help to install.

    Best Regards

No I cannot do that. As I mentioned earlier, this is a local installation, meaning there is not public access in any form because it is running in a docker container on my local computer that exactly replicates the target production environment.

Also, I plan on using Gutenberg for the builder, unless the theme forces me to use something else. If it does force me, then whatever the theme default is would be what I would use.

P.S. – this is not an installation problem. the theme is installed, activated, and registered. it can be replicated by installing the theme on a clean installation of wordpress, one without any plugins or other themes installed previously. i have done it on 3 different machines now (my local machine and my 2 production servers as a test) and all installations succeed, but relentlessly fail to update the frontend of the theme when the settings are changed or allow me to update html blocks.

    Hello,

The problem could be caused by the incorrect localhost configuration.

Please move your site to a live domain (staging).

Gutenber is not compatible with Woodmart. WoodMart works with either the WP Bakery builder or the Elementor builder at once, but not with both at the same time.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.

    Best Regards

The arbitrary and unreasonable “your site must be public, and I must have unfettered admin access to it” requirements you are setting make it impossible for me to use your support. Your “support” was the only reason I purchased the theme, in the hopes that you could assist with getting it working in the most basic sense required for it to be used at all. Since you are not able to help in a way that is conducive to my site’s development, and since I am now forced to not use your theme because of the lack of said support, I would like to formally request a refund.

    Hello,

In order to help you we need the site admin access at least. Please provide us with the same and we help you immediately. Without checking the settings we cannot detect the problem and suggest a solution.

    We do hope for understanding.

    Best Regards
