    Hello, Support Team for the Basel Theme!

    We’re presently using your Basel theme Version: 4.6.1. We’ve recently renewed our theme license and obtained the latest update using an automated online theme update. We encountered a significant loss of content on our website. Consequently, we had to restore our website using an original running backup, as this is our live production website.

    We have contacted your team by email at “xtemos.studio@gmail.com.”

    Here is their reply:

    “They replied us “Please, create a topic on our support forum and provide us all the necessary details about the request with some screenshots and including your admin access so we can help you https://xtemos.com/forums/forum/basel-premium-template/
    If your support is already expired then you need to extend it on ThemeForest first.”

    Here are a few queries that we have to resolve our theme updating issue:

    1. Is it possible for us to update the current version, 4.6.1, to the latest version, or is it not compatible with an upgrade because the current version is too old?
    2. How can we update the latest theme version without compromising our existing website content? Please provide us with a step-by-step guide.
    3. What does your team mean by “admin access”? What type of access do you guys need, and how do we give it to you?
    4. If we give you “admin access,” then can you guys update our theme to the latest version (without losing any of our existing website content) from your end?

    Hello,

    Thank you so much for purchasing our theme and contacting our support center.

    1. Yes, you should be able to update the theme without any issues.

    2. It will not make any changes on your website if you don’t customize the theme’s code. Follow our simple guide here https://xtemos.com/docs-topic/update-theme/

    3. We mean your WordPress administrator’s username and password.

    4. You can try to update the theme and let us know if you face any issues. Please, keep all plugins not related to our theme temporarily turned off.

    So, Now we want your team to update our theme on behalf of us. Please do the update now.

    As this is our live production website we had to restore our website using an original running backup. So currently we can’t show you the screenshots.

    We are experiencing a significant loss of content on our website, which includes issues such as our logo and website style not displaying correctly. Despite choosing your Basel theme “ELECTRONICS” style, after an update, it reverted back to the default style. Our footer is not displaying properly, and the slider is also malfunctioning. Additionally, our item categories are not showing as intended, and our phone number has been replaced with the original theme default number. The alignment and text size of our promo banner are incorrect, and our blogs are appearing on the right side of the homepage, contrary to our original setup. These are just a few of the many issues we are encountering.

    That’s why we are asking your team to update the theme on our behalf!

    We noticed few changes in our website. Before update we have ELECTRONICS” style, after the update, it reverted back to the default style. Our Raxxio logo is not showing and many more!

    I have shared screenshots and videos of our original website when it was okay! Kindly check them. Please fix this.

    But it didn’t look like that before we updated the theme. Try to upload your logo and adjust header settings in Theme Settings -> Header.

    Hello,

    Yesterday, your team attempted to update our website theme which caused several changes to its style and functionality. As a result, we had to restore our website to the previous version from our backup.

    We kindly request that you revisit our website to assess its current condition. This will enable you to compare it with the updated version and identify the changes that occurred after the update.

    Hello,

    When we visited your website before the update it didn’t look like that. Also, as we mentioned, after the update you may need to reconfigure the header on your website and add widgets to the footer. As for the widgets, you can export them before the update and import them with this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/widget-importer-exporter/

    Hello, I’m ensuring you that the way our website is currently looking is the original version of our website before we process to update it. Maybe when you checked our website, as per your suggestion, we disabled all our plugins and switched to the parent theme. That’s why maybe there are some differences you see now, and now it looks different to you.

    Can you please tell us, after updating the theme, what specifically changes in our website? Is there other way to avoid any changes during the update?

    Also, please tell us if we start a new website again and use the same theme, how can we choose the Basel theme “Electronics” style?

    Is there any option to change the Basel theme “Electronics” style on our current website?

    Hello,

    If you see that your website changes when you switch off plugins and child theme then it is not related to the theme update. Maybe you have some customizations made in the child theme.

    After the update, your settings shouldn’t be changed at all. You can read all the changes here https://xtemos.com/basel-changelog.php

    You can import our Electronics demo if you install our theme from scratch as any other demo. You can also switch the imported demo version in Basel -> Dummy content.
