Layout builder does not start – immediately redirects to wp-admin/edit.php

I have a staging site that is the clone of a live site.
We are developing the staging site because we are going to change the theme of the live one to WoodMart.
In that staging site all plugins AND wordpress are updated to their latest versions and only necessary plugins are active.
Yet the layout builder does not seem to work. If our understanding is correct it is supposed to load the elementor editor to handle the layout, but instead it immediately redirects into wp-admin/edit.php
I have created a user for you to investigate and his credentials are entered in the private area below.
